For me, it was a cross between hearing players like Scotty Moore, Hank Marvin, Joe Messina, Duane Eddy, Ike Turner and The Ventures.

Jimi Hendrix! It was in the Woodstock movie, and at one point he looks at the camera and I felt he was looking at me.

I didn't start playing until I was 22yrs. I kind of wanted to play, but didn't know anyone who could teach me. Until a guy I was working with gave me a guitar, that was 35yrs ago.

My first real turn on of guitar playing was Al Dimeola. I remember hearing him on an album (I did say album... oh boy), I think the song was called Romantic Warrior... Band name Return to Forever.

I grew up in a family of musicians. My Grandfather has been playing since the 50s. He tought my dad, and my Dad tought me. We are all in a band we play for weddings and other pribate parties around here. My Grandpa plays an original 60s Gibson ES 335 with Ivory trim. And it is Autographed by B. B. KIng. He plays it out of an original 50s Fender Bassman amp.

My Grandpa plays Lead and Rythm Guitar and some Bass
My Dad Plays Lead and Rythm and Lead singer
My Uncle Plays Drums
My younger brother plays Drums also
I Play Bass and switch with my Grandpa and play some Lead and rythm also.

I suppose I had just heard a lot of good music and wanted to recreate it. I don't think I could pin it down to one source though. But I would have to say that guitarists like Eric Clapton, John Mayer and Jimi Hendrix have recently inspired me to play a lot more.

Well, I first started out as a drummer and did that from about 1st grade until high school. I got into a bunch of bands my freshman/sophmore years and for some reason, all the guitars players got the chicks. I got stuck with their ugly friends. So I said screw that and learned the guitar. Well, I've been playing for about 25 years and have never been happier!
