I just realized that I don't prefer most of Canadian Artists/Musicians/Rock Stars/Hip-Hop Stars/Pop Stars/Singers/Songwriters, with the slightest of exceptions to maybe Shania Twain who does have the "it" pipes and Alanis Morrisette, a reasonably okay songwriter. Maybe the rest can appear on "Jeopardy" where Alex Trebek can balance out all of the musical shortcomings with his coy T.V. persona!

I see......

So Triumph, Rush, Pat Travers, Loverboy, Bryan Adams, Neil Young, The Guess Who, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Gordon Lightfoot, etc etc etc have no appeal to you?

What limited tastes.

Uh... I gotta say, Lovin' On Canada here in North Carolina.

If it weren't for Alex Lifeson, the only thing I'd be playing would be the kazoo.

I'd rate Neil Young the highest but the others talent falls off tremendously. Like, Arcade Fire-Drake-Magic!-Nickelback-Barenaked Ladies-Celion Dion-Crash Test Dummies-Len-etc.-etc.-etc.-etc.

I saw Triumph back in the early 80's and they blew me away! Man, my ears rang for like 2 days after the concert! Amazing musical talent, positive uplifting messages in their lyrics, and all with a wicked, pyrotechnic, light show that would rival Pink Floyd.

It is not wise to dis' on our friendly neighbors to the north. I have been to Canada many times. Great people up there. :)

Every country has music that some people may not like.
I live in Canada and I do not like Nickleback or Avril Lavigne,
but there are plenty of Canadian acts out there that are incredible musicians.
Many have already been mentioned.
Check out Big Sugar, Big Wreck, Tragically Hip, The Odds, The New Meanies (formerly The Blue Meanies) 54-40, Matt Mays...
I can keep typing all day......

Keep in mind that the States brought us The Black Eyed Peas, Backstreet Boys, N'Sync etc.

It would prove that there is no lack of talent in Canada and you are looking in all the wrong places. Turn your radio off.
