The Deville has phosphor bronze reed plates. Hohner doesn't have a harmonica with phosphor bronze reed plates but Suzuki does.

I believe the Hohner Pro Harp was being discontinued with the remaining stock sold off thru Guitar Center.

Since Fender amps usually have a low(er) gain channel* on their tube amps, harmonicas and Fender amps go together great...

*for those that don't know, low-gain is better for harmonica microphones, to reduce feedback...there's a guy out of Louisiana that make low-gain overdrive and other effects pedals for this purpose...I have one of his pedals on my board, and it's amazing for both guitar and harp. I use an Acoustasonic with my harps.
The amp should be clean and dry, the mouth should be dirty and wet. :D

Ah, we have differing philosophies...my ideal harp tone is like a well-tuned Harley--deep, growly, dirty and throbbing.

I played the blues harp in band along with my first love the guitar. I bought only Marine Band in G. They are cheap junk and not cheap cost wise. The little brass nails just pulled out and I had to tape them together. I shy away from it. I want to see the fender harps they can only be better. I could get priced out!

I use tend to use special 20's and Suzuki harps. I play lead guitar and slide too. I am totally lazy. I bring one guitar, one amp. I play in standard tuning because I'm too lazy to bring a slide guitar. I play harp into the mic I'm singing thru. Yep, no pedal board, I get the tone from my amp.
