I'm gonna be looking at a Godin Redline I tonight. Probably gonna keep it as a mod platform if I like the way it plays, or flip it if I don't.

Anyways, here's a pic from the seller.

I'd dump the EMG, add a tone knob, and maybe some other things. It's also short scale.

It may surprise you.
Godin products are usually undervalued.

There's a big price gap between what people are asking/getting for these and what I'm paying, so I can say I'm happy with the deal I'm getting. It was $600 new apparently and I'm paying $175.

I really want to mod it, like make it my own. I've never had a guitar this new, so it kind of excites me.

Possible $175 dollar run-of-the-mill guitar is just that: possible!

Considering I traded for the VJ, not likely.

I don't need this guitar, I want this guitar, and the price is totally right. I just got lucky from CL.

Just got it. A little dusty, but in pristine condition.

Dumping the EMG. Can honestly say it's the worst pickup I've ever heard. Gonna put a Super Distortion or a Maricela Juarez Invader in it, then add a tone pot and a red button kill switch. Not normally a fan of flame tops, but it looks surprisingly good in orange. I threw a Gibson speed knob I had layin around on it. Thinking about chrome HW as well, if it's available from Godin.

For $175, I got a steal on one hell of a guitar. The neck is fast, thin, and yet just chunky enough to be good for really chordy $@!&. The body is really small, comfortable, and light weight. It feels really maneuverable, and really stable in terms of setup. The neck is also a satin finish, which is a big plus.

Just gotta get the funds for a good pickup and then dump the black death and I'll have an actual good axe. Never had one this new before, so it's strange. I like it, though.

I looks like a beautiful guitar with great potential. The fact that you like the neck is a big plus. Great buy, IMO.

$600. would have been a great price for such a guitar. One seventy five is one of the best deals I've seen. That's one beautiful guitar right there. Congrats!

Great photo, looks wicked that way. A tube screamer trial before changes?
