You won'y hear it , you have a good guitar ,IMO tremolo block do not worth the money invest in MIM guitar

Better to put news pickups .

The best ; buy a better guitar .

Callaham trem blocks do make a difference. How much difference and whether that difference is worth the expense depends on you and your own ears and your wallet.

I've got one (Callaham MIM) that I'm not going to use. It's for a 2004 MIM standard if that will fit you can have it. Just send me a Pre-paid shipping box and I'll send it to you. Also, if you live in the States. Otherwise, it would be cheaper to buy one.

Any steel trem block will be an improvement over the stock pot-metal alloy types. Callaham's are great but Fender's standard steel block as used in the AVRI's and AVS Strats will do just fine.

Oh well, If you can find one, the Callaham stuff is high quality. It does add a little weight though.

The only time I've really heard a difference was when I replaced a cheap cast zinc trem with a much better quality Wilkinson unit. In that case it was night and day, transformed the guitar completely and really made more difference than most pickup upgrades. Having said that, the stock factory fitted trem block on Fender guitars is well up to the job.

Agreed, I have a 87 MIJ Squire that has a block in it that is not as heavy as the Callaham, but it is high enough quality that I don't think an upgrade to the block would made any perceivable difference. I am quite happy with the components on that guitar, the only upgrade I would consider on it would be PU's.

+1...I put a Steel Trem block into my CAR MIM 60's Classic Series and IT did make a noticeable difference in tone and sustain.

That's why Leo's patent specified a steel trem block. Anything less is but a blasphemous imitation.

Let the naysayers argue with Mr. Fender.

For the MIMs they used a much smaller block prior to 2008. For the pre-2008 MIMs I think it is worthwhile to at least get the post-2008 larger block. I got one for my '04 MIM off eBay for $15 used.

Am I wrong if I read fsr mean Fender Squier ?

To have a better sustain you need first a guitar made with good wood , Squier are not a guitar which worth any money spend for upgrade.

IMO the only upgrade for a Squier is a better guitar . Any player won't keep this guitar long time , it just good to learn . You loose your money when you'll want to sell the guitar

What is you amp ? Guitar sound is better with good amp than a good guitar with cheap amp
