.......me and my guys embarked on an 18 month run doing Friday and Saturday nights at the Cafe WHA??? in NYC's Greenwich Village. That was our last major gig before life intervened and it was time to hang up the guns for awhile. This was a friendship in music and more which began in high school ten years earlier.

Nice Sunday here in Florida. Three of us live down here now and are on point for another one of our Sunday brunches. Wish you all a great day and the same good fellowships with BFF's

Doc

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

The only rationale I can see for coming to such a conclusion is the government has forever been mooning the citizenry, so why should have been any different on that occasion?

I think the problem is that you look for a rationale. Redneck America does not need one - they'll continue to believe that the moon landing was faked, Saddam Hussein was involved with 9/11, they believe in creationism, astrology, that a UFO crashed at Roswell NM, that global warming is a conspiracy, that vaccines has a high risk of autism, that eggs must be stored in a fridge, that Obama is either a reptile, antichrist or Muslim, that the government adds fluoride to tap water to control the population, and that there is an afterlife.
Rationale or reasons? Who needs that!

Unfortunately they will not live long enough to see their theories proved.

Too many people involved in the moon landings to fake it. Unless they had a way to fake low gravity in a studio back in the 60's, we made it to the moon. Not too hard to point a rocket at a huge rock in the sky. Thing is it is kind of a waste as it really is just a big rock. We need to set our sites on mars and get people there already, I don't even care which country does it first.

At least they'll die happy, knowing they're right

So, have you lived long enough to rabble the guys back on stage again?
My theory says that a band revival is always possible, even if there's only one guy left. And sometimes not even that (Quiet Riot comes to mind).

That must have been quite an experience Doc,to play within the hallowed walls of Café WHA .That club featured so many of rock royalty that it is legendary and almost is the NYC equivalent of The Cavern. You are truly lucky to have been there back when the British Invasion was taking off and we were on the cusp of going through a Rock & Roll Renaissance.

I know Frankie Banali from his time in SE FL in the late 60's, early 70's. A great drummer.

It's a wonderful feeling to play at one of those legendary clubs. I had the good fortune of tuning a friend's guitar on stage before a performance at CBGB's many years ago. Not a performance per se, but pretty neat, nonetheless...
