It's interesting the # of times Black Sabbath's been mentioned here.

The show I saw they had anotiher "no name" back up band. Black Oak Arkansas. BOA blew them off the staqe. By Sabbath's 2nd song the crowd was stomping their feet & chanting "BRING BACK BLACK OAK!!"

It was Ozzie, outside the studio he can't sinq his way out of a wet paper bag.

Saw Sabbath 10 yrs later in SLC w/ Dio. 2nd time I'd seen him - WOW! 1st time he was with Elf - they became Rainbow w/Blackmore replacing Elf's guitarist.
And 1st time I saw Elf they were backing up Deep Purple.

Paco de Lucia about ten years ago. Althought the music was great, really fantastic musician, I don't know what to think, maybe he didn't like small towns or something. He looked bored, never seemed interested in the audience, looked up waiting the end of the applauses. Could as well have bought the CD. :(

Can't remember when the concert was or why I even went. The place was very small and the stage set up and sound was terrible.

My favorite band is Jethro Tull, so I was very excited to see them during the Crest of a Knave tour in 1987. But they were terrible! Ian Anderson had recently had throat surgery, so his voice was weak. And the whole band just seemed kinda...I don't know...distracted. It's like they phoned it in.

So I decided that Tull is a great studio band, but a crappy live act.

Then I saw them again in 2005--completely different story. They were tight, and it was a great show!

INXS, mid 80's. They were all hammered before they got on stage and they sounded like absolute crap. If I didn't get the tix for free, I would have demanded my money back.

I saw Bob Dylan somewhere around 2003, in Tampa. I walked out during his 3rd song... it was horrible. And I wasn't alone... TONS of people were walking out on him.

I went to a few concerts during the 1970's and then realized that my hearing is too valuable to destroy listening to loud music.

Bad Boys of Rock tour, 2007. Allentown, PA.

Papa Roach (awesome energy, great show)
Buckcherry (most entertaining act i've seen, not a great one to bring a lady to though.)

Hinder. Absolute worst show I've ever seen. They headlined, most people left within 10 minutes, considering the lead singer fell off the stage trying to climb the speaker tower.

I would have left, however, my friend wanted to sit through it since he paid for his ticket.

The best would be either Peter Frampton, 2007, Easton, PA or Chris Cornell 2007, Reading, PA.

Just terrible. I know there are people on this forum that like Steely Dan, and I am one of them, just their studio stuff though.

I've seen a few "not so great" shows, but the worst that comes to mind is Lee Michaels and Frosty. Nobody needs 24 Leslie cabinets for a 500 seat small arena. Maybe one of the reasons I don't hear well?

I'm IN the worst concert every Wednesday for the praise band. The "lead" acoustic guitarist thinks his country tricks make the song sound fancy, me and the (new) bassist look at each other with blank stares wondering what he's playing. The lead singers don't sing, but lip sync while the youth pastor sings...

And we have no drummer, and the guitar amp is actually a bass amp that doesn't work very well. So I'm restricted to using a 15W Fender G-DEC Jr. I actually wonder if it can't get any worse..
