Hi Guys
I saw David Lee Roth about 92 maybe?

Extreme and Cinderella opened the show. Extreme was amazing, Cinderella surprisedme. i was not a fan until then, really good show.

Then out comes Dave............really, really bad. Sounded horrible. Second song was hot for teacher. he forgot the words. The guitar player gave him a disgusted look and stepped up the mic to sing. After the song, the "drunk....high? Dave laughed and said "I forgot the words to my own damn song!!!!!!!!!.............I think only Dave was laughing. We left during the fourth song.

Needless to say, I saw Van Halen with Sammy a couple of years ago.....EXCELLENT SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I won tickets to Van Halen two months ago with Dave. I sold them on Craigslist. Still kind of regret it,( it was also 250 miles away....lots of gas) but the old Dave still lingers in my head!

Velvet Revolver Birmingham UK a couple of years ago (may 05)

They came on stage lording themselves as the Saviours Of Rock N Roll and yet Scott was a rip off of Mike Jagger in moves and although it was AWESOME seeing Slash and Duffy, I dont know, I just felt it was nothing very special. Certainly not to proclaim themselves Saviours of Rock and Roll.

Maybe if they hadn't said that my expectations wouldn't have been sorely deflated.

Was that the show at JFK stadium? I think I was there for that one. Yeah, they sucked. Then again, I never thought their show was much better then any bar band.

HEDLEY.

Yes, Hedley. I only went because my mom bought me tickets as a surprise, hehe...so I went. I thought, "Whatever, I love going to shows, so I'll bring someone along and we can have a laugh." It was lame.

That's easy. Black Sabbath. 1978 at the Spectrum in Philly. Some young upstarts called Van Halen opened for them and totally blew them away. Sabbath was so loud, so bassy, so boomy...it was awful. Ozzy quit after that tour he was so pissed at being shown up by Van Halen every night.

Are you dead serious? Awh, I love Sabbath. It must have been some sorta fluke.

No, it wasn't a fluke. They were suckin big time. Drugs, alcohol, too much time on the road, in fighting.....they weren't at their best those days.

Include on the bill, Bryan Adams, Aerosmith, Journey and someone else :?

Aerosmith was in front of the headliners(Journey), and were so godawful!

Steven Tyler had it out with at least 2 different guitar techs on stage, he ended up tossing his 3rd guitar on stage and storming off halfway through their first set, "thus endeth the lesson" says he.

Ray Charles

Many moons ago, my long haired buddies and I got all cleaned up and even wore suits to a Ray Charles show. It was a dinner/concert at a university and we spent more for tickets than we would have for a whole week of Dead shows. The orchestra played a half dozen songs or so, and then they brought RC out and sat him down for THREE songs! Then they led him off, the band played a few more songs without him and that was it.

I also saw Uriah Heep came on stage too hammered to play and then get chased off by the angry crowd.

There 1978 show at J.F.K was just as bad People were calling for Foreigner to come back out on stage not the Stones.
