I'd advise a full stop with guitar center.

write off what ever you have spent on them to screw up your guitar and bring it to some who knows what they are doing and just PAY them to do the job correctly, (and then NEVER go to GC for anything related to setups or repairs.)

They are mostly clueless and will just be compounding their mistakes,.. I would actually ask for the money spent back, -- Stop dealing with their incompetence now before they make it worse..

I have to wonder if the initial diagnosis was even correct. aren't newer necks from EPI plek'd that should at ensure a more or less consistent fret job.

Could be only the nuts are cut on the Plek System. But if it was Plek'd, it's only as good as the machine operator. I would get it repaired on their dime and contact Epiphone directly. If you ever watched these clowns at GC change a set of strings, you'd never let them even touch your guitar. Unless you like the headstock damaged from sharp string ends and string cutters. They know about as much about repairing guitars as they do selling them. Look at it this way, if you were a good Luthier, would you even need to work at GC? Would you want to?

I know! And at this point,, who even knows if any fret leveling was needed. I mean it's possible,,, but could those clowns have a prayer on doing it right?

I still say I would stop and bring it to a (good) luthier, and let him inspect it, write up what is now wrong and take THAT to GC with guitar and ask for a refund, so he can use that money to help pay for it to be corrected.

What the heck!!?!?!

they can't even do a proper intonation never mind trust them to know any of the correct processes to do a fret leveling. You can hose a fret job in a scary fast amount of time...

The scratches on the rosewood are fixable.. but that was totally avoidable by masking off the board between the frets. (which they failed to do, and cripes, did they even re-crown them after they were done ham-fisting?)

Oyvhey!

I completely stopped going to Guitar Center in September of 2013 . I had quit the band I was in because after 8 months together, we were still not gigging and I was sick of it. So I said to hell with it and decided to sell all of my gear to them. Needless to say, they wanted to lowball me even after going there for over 15 years and spending a ton of cash . They all knew me by name and could care less, so I told them where to go and ended up selling everything on E-Bay . I went Acoustic in March and now get my accessories on E-Bay. I won't even step foot in any of their stores anymore. To hell with them.
