I know they are absolutely great hollow bodies considering how affordable they are.

Great trade in my opinion. Well done!

Nice score. The Artcore series are actually really nice for the money. I have an AS73 and really like it a lot. We'll built, great playing and nice sounding guitar. It's a nice platform for upgrades too if you feel you need them.

Thanks guys, the guy I traded with had a ad in the musical inst. section of CL saying he was having a garage sale and had guitars for sale. Since he was 5 minutes away I thought I'd see if he had any '63 Teles cheap- He didn't, just a bunch of low end LP and strat knock offs and this Ibanez. Turned out he collects Teisco guitars so I made him a trade offer and he accepted. Best kind of trade, we both thought we got the better deal. :D

I used to have an AS73T. I traded it in for a Strat. I love my Strat, but I wish I still had that Ibanez.

Key here is good guitar for the price. They are average guitars with average parts but very upgradeable. There are certainly better hollow body guitars out there but the Ibanez is a great starting point.

Definitely a great trade Minnesotastrats. I have an AS73 also. I got it for such a good price, with the intention of modding if necessary, but was so surprised at the sound, setup and feel that I left it as-is.

Very cool! Ibanez guitars can be a good value for the cost, but I have found you really have to pick them out in person and really sit and play with it for a while to make sure you get a good one.

Congrats!

I've had this guitar for several days now and love the way it plays and sound. It is just a mid-priced guitar but I can't put it down. Really nice guitar! :D
