After watching a few YouTube vids,I figured a looper might be a useful tool for practicing.i was able to buy a looper pedal tonight for a fairly good price.im a couple hrs in and it's pretty fun.after a quick read I did two quick basic blues rhythm tracks and spent the next two hrs jammin along.definatley a great little toy and I'm sure it's going to greatly improve my playing.it was kinda cool and strange to listen and play along with myself..:D ....do I have to buy a boss specific ac adapter or will any one work?...like the didgitech one I have? Not a big deal just might be a while before I can get into a music shop.the manual says a 9v battery is good for 6 hrs so I'm sure I will go through batteries pretty quick.

You must pay particular attention to the polarity of the plug, and the mA rating of the transformer. Some plugs have the positive on the inner part, and some have the positive on the outer part. The polarity is usually molded onto the transformer covering, or printed if a label. Be sure that the mA rating is as high, or higher than your pedal requires.

Por favor, disculpe mi español, no se llega a la práctica con mucha frecuencia.

I gotta invest in one of these little gadget too, make your own rhythm track I guess. I dont know I just like to jam, got a bunch of tools and backing track already and turns out I never use them in the end. But at least this always remains in the loop.

Any tool that motivates you to play is worth it in my books.ive now killed two batteries.so thats like 12 hrs of use in less than two full days of getting it..I don't play with other musicians so I'm finding it's very useful.just switching through the drum tracks or changing tempos creates playing ideas.im counting and thinking more about what I'm playing and it's quick to show you your weaknesses as a all round player.i like that I can create rhythms that I want to hear and play with and then create solos over top.this also got me thinking from a bass players point of view.when I start to hear an empty drum beat I start thinking of bass lines as a foundation to build apon.i was able to find quite a few used loopers on Craigslist to choose from.someone was selling off his gear that he never used so I was able to pick up a basically new/unused looper for a third of retail.there seems to be lots of entry level enthusiasts that buy a bunch of gear, lose intrest or whatever then sell it all off on Craigslist..
