Thank you Fender

Thank you Brad

Thank you to all of you

I'd like to add it was an honor just to be nominated... :D
Or actually eligible to win such prizes.

Thank you PowerJazzBass. Congrats to you and to Ceri.

And another chance to say thank you to Brad and the staff at Fender.

And of course a big thank you to all of the participants on the Fender Forums - you folks make this place work and be a great place to learn and share info about music and guitars.

Oh, OK.

My Third Prize haul of Fender swag arrived last week - just as I was heading down the front steps to go away for the weekend. I didn't even have time to grab one of the books to read on the train!

Home now: here's what I chose on my $300 spending spree at the online shop:

Image

That's:
Three Fender Vintage Amp Logo Polo shirts
A version of the Fender Royalty T-shirt that Brad tells me isn't available in the shop yet
The Fender Amps book
The Soul of Tone book
And, of course, the Stratocaster Chronicles book

Once more, a big, big thank you to Fender for this unlooked for bounty. And particular thanks to Brad: I've had some communication with Brad backstage over this, and it is perfectly clear that that gentleman puts in A LOT of time and effort on this whole Forum project, and we all owe him a truckload of appreciation. Thank you, Brad!

PS: the shades are meant to emulate that "cool" emoticon. Er...
PPS: Homer's speech bubble on my T says "English! Who needs that? I'm never going to England!"
