Ha! That's really cool. What a great wife you have there!

I just Googled for the image I posted, BTW. I bet my wife and I could make a kickass Strat cake though - she's a baking wizard - and I could touch in the details. :)

Pass me a fret indeed, with a scoop of Ringin' P'ups ice cream.

Thanks! yeah I guess she is pretty cool...For a girl :)

Happy Anniversary to all! Of course this is all about Brad. The man who convinced his bosses that this was a good idea. That this would be a place where young, old, cool, uncool. metalheads and bluesman would hang out and actually get along. Brad, you took the chance. You put your reputation on the line. You set the tone. Thanks man! I hope Fender's proud of you. This is the best board on the net!

WOW -- very, very kind words, thanks so much! I still have the original proposal for this project sitting on my desk and needless to say, it'll be a lifelong keepsake. To be clear, Fender as an organization is EXTREMELY supportive of this effort from top to bottom, but naturally whenever you launch into new, unexplored territory like this there's obviously always going to be an undeniable risk factor and/or "sense of the unknown" present.

So, yes, this has involved some sticking my neck out on the line to be sure -- but that's why this celebration is 100% about *you* and not me. I said we could do it but ya'll have proven we could do it!!
:D Ill give you 1,000,000,000 invisible American dollars for the original proposal framed and signed

Happy Birthday to Brad, Fender and all of the forum community!

I am recovering from major abdominal surgery right now to remove a malignant tumor and some lymph nodes. After healing, I will be starting a treatment plan (chemo, radiation, etc)

Early detection is probably what saved my life ?

I'm thankful to be alive and again, best wishes for many more years of life for the Fender community.

Hope that all continues to go well.
