I got my self a TASCAM Portastudio 414. It's a great little machine, only does analog recording though. Wish I had spent the cash and went wiIh Digital. I can't post anyhting to a web for anyone to listen to since all i have is tapes. And they are becoming a thing of the past.

I have an M-Audio Fast Track USB box plugged into my computer. You can get one for about a hundred bucks anywhere. I use a couple of different programs to record. High quality digital audio but its only got one XLR in and one 1/4 inch in. And it only has rca outs.

I have set up, but need to use more, a Tascam 414mkII 4-track, a Zoom MRT3B drum machine, and a Shure SM57. Also 2 Epi Valve Junior heads and a couple dozen pedals to choose from.

Wow... so many of you are computer savvy. Any teachers out there?

I forgot to mention, as many of you did... I also use an Alesis drum machine and a Behringer Virtulizer Pro for sound effects, such as stage and arena background.

Thought I'd bring this thread back to life again since I have updated my recording studio from Tascam to GarageBand.

Excellent program for those using a mac. I have had great success recording with this software.

Also used my Fender guitar.

You can hear some of the tracks on myspace page. See link below to Bratt Scovil.

Enjoy!

I love GarageBand, when I switched to a Mac it eliminated recording headaches. Add a Apogee Duet and Logic Express and you have the perfect home studio setup.

Het Jam76,

Do you have any music you've recorded to listen to? I can only imagine with the additions you have to GarageBand, it has to be an awesome recording set up. I am looking to upgrade to Logic as well and wondered how well it functions and ease of use b4 I spend the bucks.
