And by that time their songs were so overlaid with difficult-to-reproduce studio effects that the spontaneity that is associated with live rock and roll performances had been lost.

Can't forget about the Concert for Bangladesh. That had to be a good one for George. I heard it almost every day as a kid. My dad loved that album.
