Well ..... There's three and a half minutes out of my life that I will never get back.

I guess it's not a total waste because easterners working up in The Mac have been telling me for decades how wonderful and amazing Prine is and at least now I know I haven't been missing anything. I guess I should be thanking you.

Hey, no problem, you're welcome.

I looked through all 9 pages and was surprised this one wasn't mentioned:

Since my early childhood I have always tried to live by this quote paraphrased from the New Testament..."Do not move that limbo bar, you will be a limbo star!!!" Chubby Checker

But then again, I always have liked the line "forgive me pretty baby, but I always take the long way home". Tom Waits

Here's one of my favorite lines from Springstein that goes along with yours:

"Like a river that don't know where it's flowin'
I took a wrong turn and I just kept goin' "

I agree with those that say "one liner" is hard to choose...so I'll say it like this:

...if I knew Picasso, I would buy myself a gray guitar and play.

The premise goes like this:

Well I'm gonna paint my picture
Paint myself in blue, red, black and gray
All of the beautiful colors are very, very meaningful
Yeah, well you know, gray is my favorite color
I felt so symbolic yesterday
If I knew Picasso
I would buy myself a gray guitar and play
