I'm very satisfied now. All I do is move the cab so it's facing the kit and there's a lovely high volume harmony between the two.

Slimmed my kit by cutting out the china and rack tom as well.

I also may have tracked down a 1970s aftermarket Dimarzio Stratocaster Trem unit, which I may be purchasing this Friday, but that's for another thread all together.

I really feel my gear coming together now.

If anything does not work out for you with that old Dimarzio trem unit let me know. Been looking for one of those for a while.

Room is looking good. Getting the sound balance right takes effort.

Oh, believe me, it's going to work. I'm not letting one slip through my fingers, especially because this one has the original trem arm.

Ah, so you know about the scarcity of those. Darn it  It seems easier to find a leprechaun then one of those trems these days.

Heh, I'd much rather have a solid brass Smith era "The Strat" trems, but those stopped existing. This is the next best thing

But honestly, before this one I just stumbled upon, I didn't know about them.

For what I want it for is a "boogie body" replica I am building. If you are unfamiliar with those it is basically one of the first companies that did customs using strat style bodies and what EVH used for his first "creations". Also it spawned companies such as Warmoth, Charvel, Mighty Mite etc so holds some historical value. Many of them used Dimarzio pups and bridges. Dimarzio actually made some custom guitars as well back in the day (Charvel style). They no longer make Guitars and bridges of course but known mainly for pickups. So yes that bridge is a rare bird and I can't imagine too many still exist much less were even made going back 30 years + ish.

This is the bridge I am looking for..

Yea, I've seen a few replacement bodies from Dimarzio, they were all LPB too, which is strange. One on eBay, one on my local CL.

Well as far as I know Dimarzio never did any actual woodwork or made their own bodies from scratch but in the 80's they did sell replacement bodies and necks so anything is possible, especially if it was a popular style. I would think most likely they were MIJ and could have been stamped "Dimarzio" since they were the distributor.

Yea, it had the Dimarzio logo stamped in red in the neck pocket.

Well if the stamping is authentic it at least verifies it had to be from the 80s. Do you remember if they were asking a lot for them?

I believe it was $300 for the one on ebay, though I'm not sure. A bit much for a body
