The Jazz Bass has always been my favourite Fender Bass but after seeing the American Jaguar Bass with the Jazz Bass profile neck, that has changed. The American Standard Jaguar Bass will certainly be my next bass purchase because with the wide tonal spectrum it has,it will no doubt be one of the most versatile bass guitars on the market.

This has been out for awhile and makes the Jag bass a tad... redundant.

Brothers your bump is appreciated and thankyou for the opportunity to help with a concern which I had as well. The Jaguar basses until this new one were interesting and I liked the effort but none could be an actual Jaguar until this American Standard. Excitingly redundant lol. Switches and thumb wheels for your bass guitar, son of a gun I would like one. :D

I bought one today in Olympic White. I was a bit taken back with the satin finished neck. I expected it to be gloss like the Japanese made Jaguars. Love the PJ configuration and the versatility of the electronics.

Fender USA needs to start making an American Standard Jaguar 5 string but with a neck that has the same specs as the Japanese made JBV and AJB-V 5 string basses.

Here's a few pics of mine. I'm a long time five string guy, but this bass might change that.

That is just an absolute knockout JD.I'm 100% sure that will be my next bass purchase. I have always loved the Jag body style and the way the controls of the Jaguar guitar were laid out, having a bass that was wired the same would be incredible.A sunburst Jag Bass would look sweet hung on the music room wall next to my old sunburst '65 Jag-now all I need is an infusion of bucks in the bank account.
