They may have stopped manufacturing them. The website only contains models that are in production.

They may be special runs for GC's, or another retail music store.

Maybe they were not selling well?

The series lacked off a Telecaster and a Jazz Bass.

+1

USA Nitro Satins were Factory Special Runs.

No.

Fender made the Nitro Satins in a limited quantity.

Once the threshold was reached their production came into a halt.

I had the same question for Fender support when I tried to register the same guitar online. I was told that FSRs are not on the website as a general rule. He also told me that the guitar was an FSR made to specs specified by Guitar Center/Musicians Friend, and that it had been a big seller for them since 2012 (I think he told me that about 3,000 so far). He didn't indicate that the run was finished, and I still see them for sale in my local GC. He told me that based on my serial number, mine was made in March of 2014, and I have seen at least two newer ones in the GC since I bought mine in April.

I saw a new one in a local GC the other day. Mine is a 2013.

I purchased a used nitro strat from guitar center last year. went into the store to check out a used amp I was interested in.

I picked up the strat, plugged in, and played away. the amp stayed, but the guitar came home with me.

personally, I think it's a great guitar-I paid about 500.00 for it. like the color too.

I believe they were made for guitar center....

I wish there was a fretless version. I don't play bass enough to justify $1600 for a non-nitro P-bass, but a P would still be nice to have, for home jams and similar.

When I got my Precision, it was on sale, $200. off the regular price of $900.
