Finally had some time to get a halfway proper video.

I like Lace Sensors.

I'm with you 1000% on the lace sensors. I put some hot golds on my strat and everyone in the band noticed the difference. I'm putting some Lace Alumitones on my Gibson 335 next month.

Those are the gold lace pick ups? I am surprised by the level a hum and hiss they have, I would have thought they would be less noisy.

Have you ever tried a noise gate?

I've got a '93-'94 American Standard Tele that I bought new back then. I had Lace Sensors installed in it immediately - Blue at the neck and Red at the bridge and I swapped the pickguard, going for the Clarence White - Marty Stuart vibe. I've not changed another thing on the guitar since then.

This was my primary gigging guitar back in the days when I played out every weekend, 2-3 days every weekend. Today it doesn't get as much use on the road, but I still love it. It's very quiet and a perfect studio guitar, so yeah, I dig Lace Sensors, too!

Yea, they actually squeal a lot. I don't remember the last time I had a guitar that didn't squeal.

They're actually a matched set of Pre-1989 Gold Laces. I'm not sure why they're sought after, but they are. I like the fact that they sound a little bit lo-fi with a harder edge with high gain. That vid was through my Orange with the new EHX tube installed.

My Jazz Plus Deluxe had stock Sensors. They don't pull on the strings as much as regular pickups, having weaker magnets and all.

I think that was the point. Apparently it improved sustain somehow.

I think it's because Buxom has his gain channel cranked all the way up and at the same time, he's probably using an EH Big Muff along with a Boss Metal Zone, etc...etc...

Waaaaaaaaaayyyy too much gain!!!

That's straight into the OMT, volume at 12:00, tone at 11:00, and gain at 3:00.
