This was given to me by a co worker. This is a 1973 Univox U1010 System. It has the U1011 Lead Head (105w) and U2080 cabinets. There is hardly any info online about these, but I've read the cabinets are hard to find. My buddy delivered it last week. It needs some TLC, but I'll get it cleaned up and running! Its going in for a check up in the next couple of weeks. I'll post my progress on this amp.

Sweet! Yoda, don't stand in front of that thing when you hit the first chord. You saw what happened to Marty McFly.

Thats exactly what I was thinking, Supro! Honestly its probably too much amp for me, but I've got two outdoor gigs in August and I 'd love to get it going by then!
Once its all checked out and running, I'll try to get a sample up.

Yoda, It's worth it for the cool factor alone for sure. They had a sound all their own. They were always too big and loud for me back in the day. Jeff Beck endorsed them in the 70's. The only Univox product I ever owned was a Univox EC80 Echo unit. Eddie Van Halen used one way back.

Still that amp is cool and free too. Don't get any better than that.

I don't know too much about tubes, but here they are. I'll have to get these tested.

Don't let go of those pre-amp tubes, there Mullards, they are one of the best sounding ones from Europe, back in the day.

Yeah, I have heard of Mullards from reading other gear websites.
When I unrolled them I was like "ooohh, Mullards!" I'm excited and I don't even know what they sound like!

Nothing wrong with a "hand-me-down amp" either, yodacaster.

Rawk on!
