Happy Monday, all:

One of the greatest things about Fender guitars is that you can easily modify them to your own tastes. The American Design Experience, for example, is a great representation of exactly how customizable and personalized your Fender instrument can be, with tons of opportunities to experiment with different features onscreen and create a truly unique instrument.

But let's talk about that one guitar...the guitar you aspire to own. Maybe it's some souped up, hot-rodded product of your wildest imagination. Or maybe it's the go-to Fender tone machine played by one of your favorite artists. Whatever your fantasy instrument may be, it's no secret that every player has one. And making it a reality is often a symbol that you've reached the upper echelon of guitar greatness.

With that in mind,
Tell us about your dream Fender guitar and what you'd do to make it your own.

Thanks everyone!

That'd be a Telecaster with another Tele neck pickup in the middle position. Ash body, contoured front and back like a Strat.

Bare Knuckle Flat 50 pickups with a 4-pole switch to give the standard Tele combinations in positions 1, 3 and 5 and the Strat combinations in 2 & 4. As that means the bridge pickup gets used a lot in combination with the neck and middle, I'd want the neck and mid pickups wound as RWRP to make positions 2 and 3 noise cancelling.

Mary Kaye white please. You can put a Bill Lawrence Tone Filter in there instead of a capacitor too.

Do you deliver at weekends?

Mine is certainly the Fender David Gilmour Relic strat. No mods needed, heck I wouldn't mind the NOS version either, but the dream one is the Relic one.

You should rather ask me whether there's anything I wouldn't do to own it  If I got my hands on it, I would definitely be doing everything I could to promote what a great company Fender is, I'd wear Fender T-shirts all the time on gigs and public appearances and basically do anything else you'd want me to do :D I would also help you with optimizing your website and make it prettier and give you a business idea I've been tinkering with lately.

My dream guitar would be this strat:

-early 50s style extremely contoured light weight ash, hardtail body, thin skin nitro in Bahamas blue
-Dan Smith style headstock (cross between 50s/60s and 70s, very cool)
-Quartersawn lightly tinted 1 piece maple neck with a 12 inch radius, jumbo frets and kluson vintage tuners
-Eric Johnson single coil pickups
-Tone on bridge, 5 way selector, but otherwise ordinary vintage electronics
-Bone nut
-Vintage hardware and single ply 8 screw cream pickguard

There. Do I get it now?

CAR Red Gilmour signature strat with EMG pickups and short trem arm ;) not custom shop. It would be a reissue of a reissue after all.

One that plays like buttah & sounds like the holy grail.

I need more time to think about this...of my current 3 favorite Strats, there are certain things I like about each one.

My Fantasm Fender would be a lightweight "L" series based Strat/Fender XII double neck with a Metallic or Candy Apple Purple Sunburst going from light in the center and finally ending up a very deep almost black purple around the outer edges. The pickups on the Strat part would have to be late L series in tonal response and the necks of both would both have to be the shallow "C" profile neck with a 9 1/2 " radius like was on later L series Fenders such as my '65. Classic L series type hardware would be my only other stipulation for the guitar. That seriously would be all I would ever need in the way of an electric guitar.

Let's see.... My dream bass would be a single coil Precision bass in a Nitro finish. Not only do you not offer these as part of the ADE. You don't even offer them in the American Vintage line. So I'm guessing I can just "dream on".

"Tell us about your dream Fender guitar and what you'd do to make it your own. "

The first part of that is easy enough. An original 1962/63 Fender Jaguar, notice that I said original. Probably don't have one of those at Fender, I have heard they are going for many multiples of the original prices. The Jaguar back then, 1963, is what attracted me to Fender lol. I dreamed of it then because I was making about 30 dollars a week after taxes as a stock-boy/sales person at a menswear store and couldn't really afford one. Funny how 'The more things change the more they remain the same' as I can not afford one still
The second part is not as easy so I will say, what you'd want me to do to make it my own might be helpful information. or keep dreaming I suppose

Telecaster with the regular tele single coil pickups, a volume and tone control for each pickup, and a Bigsby.

Something I can't buy on e-bay or make with a mod or three.

It has to be a Strat with the following features:
i) Early 50's style ash body
ii) Gold plated bridge, tuners, output jack outlet and whammy bar
iii) 3 tone Sunburst colour body
iv) Rosewood "C profile" neck
v) Aged knobs and pickup covers
vi) Seymour Duncan Antiquity II in the bridge and Standard Strat single coils in the rest.
vii) Brown tortoise shell pickguard
This is my dream Strat. :D

This guitar turns me on:

I'd want this with the humbuckers with covers that look the same (like the neck pickup look but splittable coils and one bridge, one neck). Would want the best high gear ratio tuners. Daphne blue. Thin, compound radius neck. Neck binding.
