Hi, the low E string on my fender stratocaster has started to buzz when I play it open. I changed the strings a few days ago and played a gig last night and it was fine so I was wondering if anyone has any idea why this might be happening and what I can do to solve it?
Thanks!

Likely either of:
1: Humidity has risen, and straightened out the neck, removing some of the relief. Adjust the truss rod to compensate.
2: The strings you put on are a different thickness and/or stiffness than the ones you had, also causing the neck to bend more backwards. Adjust the truss rod to compensate, or switch back to the strings you used before.
3: The strings you put on weren't exactly top quality, and they've started sagging. Switch back to better strings, or increase the action to compensate.

in any case, even good strings are cheap, and twisting the truss rod is free (unless you use brute force to overtwist it).

Your low E string buzzes? It's unfortunate that so many strings have started using illicit drugs instead of being "high on life"... :P

Just kidding...arth's response is accurate, though...hope you can get it fixed soon!
