For those of you that like the Blues, Today would have been the 98th Birthday of one of the Blues Greats Howlin' Wolf.

Cool stuff, great guitarist, singer, harmonica player, and musician. Killing Floor had quite a reputation as well, being covered by the likes of Zeppelin and Jimi.

Happy Birthday in the next realm to one of the great contributors to popular music...

...though he likely did not intend to be so.

Howlin' Wolf is fantastic. I have his London Sessions album with Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood, it's really cool :)

Those Chess "London Sessions" albums were all cool. Also check out the Chuck Berry, Muddy Waters, and Jerry Lee Lewis (Rory Gallagher is on the last two).

The Wolf rules!

Those London Sessions recording aren't bad but listen to the early Chess sides, or better yet his 50's Memphis recordings. As the late great Sam Phillips (who always claimed the Wolf was his greatest discovery) said, "The Wolf is where the soul of man never dies."
