My fave: Tacet al fine, which is Latin for "!@$ backstage to have a few sips and puffs".

Edit: Seriously, Fender. I can't write the three letter word that starts with an "n" and ends with "ip" without it getting censored?

Corporations treat everyone like children. It is one of their calling cards.

Unfortunate racist term applied to those of Japanese descent...not your intended use, I assume.

Obviously not. When you start censoring words with multiple meanings, where most of the meanings are not in any way offensive, you're on a slippery $@!&# to becoming a racist yourself, by calling attention to the terms.

Funny!

I've always been partial to glissando, which, along with its cousin portamento, is something guitar players do a lot of--sliding up or down strings (or even bending them) to a different pitch.

BAck when I took theory lessons we had a mock test before the actual one, and we marked those in class.
On the musical terms, one of them was lento--and my mind blanked, so I wrote, "the time before eastero" the student marking my test marked it as correct--I asked him why--and he said since I wrote something in I must have known what the answer was--he didn't even read it.

But I always liked pizzicato.
