I think there's a lot Fender should never have got rid of. For the sake of t
Trying to be innovative, sometimes there are models that shouldn't be changed or removed as people like them as they are :)

Fender Subsonic, the baritone Strat!

My original plan was to get everything I wanted in a Strat format: American Standard 6-string, Stratocaster XII and the Sub-sonic baritone. The Squier VI kind of scratched my itch for a baritone. Kind of.

Still looking for a 12-string.
On the other hand, from the same era, if the Performer was reissued I most certainly would buy one:

I kinda think they screwed up on the headstock shape, though I'd take it even with that peghead. Put a redesigned, prettier headstock on it and I'll take... well, two. :)

Cheers - C
Pattern that headstock after the upper horn of the guitar.
For the Artist series guitars: a welcomed return of the two former Yardbirds' axes in their original specs. There are a lot of people who prefer the Lace Sensors over the Noiseless pickups.

A reasonable suggestion limited only by the specific request of the artist.....

BTW: Now that you've done with it, kindly send my guitar back.

I'd like to see a rerun of the matching headstock competition Mustangs and matching headstock Jags.
And if we're going to talk slightly offset guitars, I'd like to see a reissue of the Jag-Stang and original Marauders.
+1 on a hardtail Strat, too. Maybe even with an Tune-O-Matic or Adjust-O-Matic bridge? 8)

This model was reissued in 2003 and discontinued two years later.

Currently Fender has no plans to bring back the Jag-Stang.

FENDER LEAD I, II, AND III. or even a Lead IV, S/H with an overwound Tele bridge, then a tappable/splittable triple bucker in the neck. Hardtail only with a strat bridge. Available in wacky 80s colors as well.

I want $@!& that just doesn't exist.

Fortunately he'll spend the rest of his time as a studio musician by recording new and previously unreleased material - until his grandson Isaac Owen Bartlett (aka Eric Clapton Jr.) takes the torch from him as a potential successor.

The photo jimk75 posted a few days ago truly reflects my thoughts :)

Wonder if Isaac would hire Sophie Belle, Ella May and Julie Rose as backing vocalists in a future band lineup... His grandad would be very proud of! :P

I see in the smiling face of this young boy the image of a future rock icon whom his grandfather inspired a new generation of blues-rockers.

Pretty certain the young Isaac will herit the guitars and gear who helped his grandpa to leave his own mark in the history of modern blues and rock music. :D

I personally recommend a welcomed return of backrouted guitars and basses with attractive quilted and flamed maple tops.

+1 including a blue colour

Well now that they know we'd like to see their entire retired line reincarnated, what's next?
