Reissue the first Reissue bass that Fender ever reissued, the 1968 Telecaster Bass guitar. Make it blonde, make it in the USA and make it just like the first one except with a better pickguard material. That was the best bass I ever had and what got me hooked on first generation P-Basses. The CIJ 51 RI was nice but not even close tone wise.

In addition to the Floyd Rose Classics I expect a return of the popular USA Showmaster series with recessed original Floyd Rose bridges, a fierce-sounding combination of Seymour Duncan Black Winter Trembucker/Hot Rail humbucking pickups with S1 switching and a Passing Lane bypass button - available in HSS, HH, HSH and HHH configurations. Other features include a full 2-octave compound radius maple neck with an ebony fingerboard with rectangular abalone block inlays, a variety of exotic tonewoods and a host of new amazing finishes.

  • Genuine Wide Range Humbuckers
  • 12-string Strat

Or a 12-string Strat with genuine Wide Range humbuckers. I'd buy three of those.

Fender will probably have trouble to recreate the original CuNiFe Wide Range humbucking pickup. CuNiFe is hard to find and the only alternative way to get those humbuckers is the Telenator replicas.

1. Electric XII (or Squier Venus Vista XII), because some people need solid body 12-string electric guitar.
2. Steve Bailey Jazz Bass VI (fretted and fretless), because some people need "low B" six string jazz bass. If you can't use Steve's name, please use my instead.

;)

I would like to see a sunburst hss with an original Floyd Rose tremolo. Set up like the old HM series Except instead of "Strat" on the headstock it should read "Stratocaster". Pickups should also be upgraded to Fat 50's single coils and a Diamondback humbucker.

Newer USA Floyd Rose Strats will feature Modern TwinHead humbucking pickups; the last batch of these discontinued models sported the Diamondback as a replacement for the DH-1 Atomic used since 1998.

Steve moved to the Warwick camp in 2011; therefore this model cannot be released without his personal consentment.

A nice alternative would be a 6-string version of the American Deluxe Dimension Bass or a reissue of the 2-octave Jazz bass in a 6-string format.

Or a Strat with the same specs! :D

Minus the stars.. But Texas specials, dimarzio PAF pro, TBX and 25db mid boost in cherry sunburst, vintage white. Not last least the Floyd Rose Original :)

The Pawn Shop '51 hybrid Strat/Tele thing should be in permanent production.
