+1 including a blue colour

Fender has a wide inventory of finishes including various shades of blue. Please be more specific before deciding.

If you're looking for an Aqua Blue Sunburst American Deluxe Jazz Bass you're out of luck. This finish is an exclusive colour for the MIJ Jazz Bass QMT LTD 2013.

Fender has no plans to add Aqua Blueburst in their American Deluxe colour chart.

That's not the intent of the thread. The OP would like to this return.

There's an alternative to Aqua Blue Burst - Desert Sunset.

Image

Discontinued as Bonnie's endorsing deal ended in 2000.

Why not bringing back the old American Deluxe basses with the 22 frets & abalone dots and retaining some of the post-2010 specs such as the compound radius neck, N3 pickups, HMV bridge and active/passive circuitry?

We already know that Stanley Clarke plays those basses.

I'd love to see a revival of the short-lived Fender Lead III. Also, a re-issue of the Prodigy would be good.

The American Vintage '57 P bass (but then with SP3's).

Or Joe Principe's (Rise Against) 2011 tour bass. A surf green P bass with black pickguard and only a volume knob, no tone knob. Not sure which PUP is in it. But that would be cool. Surf Green P basses have something nice to em... Make it happen.

Oh and the Precision Lyte kind of basses should return as well. Just picked up a '89 P Lyte this weekend and I like it.

"An American Vintage 51, 53 or 55 Precision RI would be nice. The fact that you can't get an American made Single Coil Precision is kind of sad. Especially when this company seems to have no problem churning out gimmick guitars left and right. For a company that says it takes it's legacy so seriously the fact that arguably it's most influential instrument is relegated to non-vintage spec import knock offs with inferior finishes and electronics is really disheartening. Maybe instead of looking to resurrect another gimmick that simply chases a competitors market that longs for inferior instruments. Maybe Fender ought to concentrate on what made it great in the first place?"

+1 and then some. Bring back the 51P. I predict it will sell like gangbusters. And better yet, offer a lefty model. All the southpaws have currently in an American lefty are the P and the Jazz. You know that's not enough!

I would love to see a Vintage White or Vintage Blonde Fender American Standard Telecaster.

Please make an American Vintage '68 Stratocaster all nitro. You don't need much R&D. I'll take a 65 reissue with maple neck, large headstock and correct decal. ;)
