Hi I have a Roc Pro 1000. I have always carried out my own servicing and repairs on the various amps I have had over the years. On the test point data testing the AC is simple but on the DC side eg test point 31 - it says 6.9 vdc 'RED' , 14 vdc 'Yellow' and 600 mvdc 'Clean'.
Could someone clarify what the Red, Yellow and Clean is representitive of............... It's my 1st Fender

Also I notice the tube looks like it is soldered to the board. Is there a suitable socket I can purchase to fit the board? I would like to try different manufacturers tubes to compare the sounds.

Thanks Guys

Joe

Hello Joe. A quick search for "roc pro 1000" didn't yield any info for me. perhaps a model number will get you something from Fender's archives if it is a discontinued product. Fender customer service is always a good way to get information as well.

Or you could visit the sub-Forum that is the best place to handle newer amp questions.

viewforum.php?f=13

I have seen ROC PRO 1000 queries on there before. I own a ROC-PRO 1000 head myself.

I'm not familiar with that particular amp and it's pretty much impossible to say for sure what the test point voltages refer to without seeing the schematic. Might refer to the selected channel, that's a possibility.

It's not possible to solder tubes to PCB's directly, you probably have a PCB-mounted tube socket that the tube is plugged into.
