I love that reclaimed Pine Stratocaster!!!

It ticks all the boxes for me. It's as if you took my entire wish list for a custom Strat and made it a production model :D

The history and look of that Pine body, complete with imperfections, and treating it with just a dark stain. The gorgeous one piece hand rubbed oil finish rosewood neck with clay dots. Add to this the Custom Shop Fat 50's pups, original saddles on 2 point trem and one ply phenolic black scratch plate .... tick, tick, tick hehe

Needless to say I ran to my local dealer who phoned Fender and managed to order one for me (One of apparently only 7 to be available in the UK according to him) Not that I care about how limited it is to be honest, I am just so grateful that Fender made them as a production run, without me having to re mortgage the apartment to commission the custom shop to make me my dream guitar, so thanks guys :D

Beautiful guitars.

The only cons is the chrome hardware ruining the overall look of these instruments IMO.

I would be happier if Fender puts in some matte black hardware to match the black plastic parts.

With four regular guitars sold for every bass sold, it's to be expected that regular guitars will get more varieties.
For one thing, it means you'll have five times as many factory cells, and the impact of stopping one of them to inject a special run is going to be less.
Then there's the amount of wood available - if it's limited, you might not want to use it on the models that require the most wood.

It sucks if you play bass, of course. But at least you get some special runs - just not as many.

Not a reclaimed wood jazz bass but close to the axe I'm talking about.

I no longer fall for such gimmics as reclaimed wood.
