I've posted this same message on other forums, but received no response :(

Does anybody know what ever happened to the blues musician Greg Serrato? I think he was from California, but not sure which city. He seemed to be an up and coming guy back in the late 90s/early 2000s, played the Bluesfest circuit heavily (including the Bluesfest in Windsor, ON several years) then seemed to vanish off the face of the earth about 10 years ago.

For those of you unfamiliar with Greg, he was a Strat player, very SRV/Jimi/etc influenced. He released a couple CDs (Child Of The Blues and Like A Tornado) independently - both excellent albums.

If I google his name, I find a few articles about him from about 15 years ago but that's about it. Apparently he released a live album around 2004 or 2005.

Does anybody on this board know who I'm talking about?

Greg, if you are out there, I miss your music!

Could it be the same guy that is in Ontario Canada? (see link  http://www.bandmix.com/guitleft/)

This website apparently has a phone number for his manager  http://www.killerorange.com/KillerRefs/ ... omusic.htm

Yeah it seems he dropped off the face of the earth. His website domain was apparently purchased by an asian company.

That appears to be the guy, although it's Ontario, California that he's from, not to be confused with Ontario, Canada where I'm from :)

Yeah his domain must have expired at some point and was taken by some squatters.

The guy put on an absolutely phenomenal life show, outshining the headliner at a few festivals.

lol oops. I assumed Canada. It's strange, it looks like he was really making a name for himself, released a live album, and then just stopped.

This is the only thing I see on YouTube and it's old  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmP2a36ikow

EDIT: check this out from the comments on the above video:

I'll have to touch base with Greg - it's been a while! Both of us stepped away from the music scene for different reasons.

I appreciate you trying to research this for me.

If he no longer is capable of playing music, that would be quite a shame. I can't state enough how amazing of a show he put on.

Extremely friendly and personable as well. He often would invite a local musician up on stage to jam for a song.
