Judging by the way our daughter was feeling tonight, both my wife and I have a gut feeling that we may be heading to Emerg. tonight.Since we've both been there before,we know what to look for and it certainly seems that our daughter may be giving us our first grandchild either tonight or in the morning. My Forum family will be among the first to know if that's the case.Cheers.

Being a Poppy is the greatest thing going. You will really enjoy it. Remember spoil them, wind them up and send them home. You now get to have fun and not be the disciplinarian.

Nothing better than grandkids, except grandkids who play guitar or bass, I have both.
Hope all goes well, you will be weeks wiping the grin off your face.

It turns out that was another false alarm, albeit the strongest one yet-he's already 5 days overdue-if he's not here by Wednesday coming, they're sending in a search party-inducing labour-I said that he'll probably come out carrying school books if he goes much longer overdue.

Thanks Mud,he's ready for electric now,my nephews were weaned on my wailing electric guitars, pretty well from birth and they are both musicians today-the older one actually has had great local success with CD sales and has actually been shortlisted for Canada's coveted Atlantis Music Award and East Coast Music Awards-you can't start off kids too early for a good musical grounding.Several leading experts in childhood development have suggested that placing headphones etc. on the stomach of expectant mothers can actually sooth and settle the child inside,in latter stages of development.
