Okay, I overlooked the acoustic bass part of that the first time around. Thanks for mentioning it again; now I won't go ordering the wrong thing.

And it's kinda funny that somebody mentioned David Bowie. I watched a YouTube demo just a couple of days ago where the reviewer had a Danelectro 12-string (I forget the model), and he played a little bit of the instrumental break from "Space Oddity." It never occurred to me before that that part was played on a twelver.

I do like the built-in tuner on the Villager. "Listening to a 12-string player tune up is twice as much fun." --Michael O'Shea
Haven't fiddled with the tone controls on the Fishman Isis III at all. Thus far, I've been playing it mostly "unplugged," but maybe tonight while La Wife is at work, I might fire up my Roland Micro Cube and rawk out with the Villager for awhile. 8)
Could be a good time to practice the intro to "Wish You Were Here," and see if it sounds any different through the Ibanez LF7 "Lo-Fi."

I have an Ibanez acoustic bass gig bag. Fits just right.
Did you get the Powerpad (521) or the "101" type? To further complicate things, there's an IABB510 Powerpad bag, from various vendors. :?

I'm just trying to get the right one the first time, 'cause I hate having to ship something back because it didn't fit. (Although if a bag doesn't fit the Villager but does fit my TCY10E Talman, I might keep it.)

Ditto. I think a lot of my appreciation for them comes from what Roger McGuinn did on the Byrds' records, but there are a lot of other good songs out there with 12-string in the mix.
I keep a compressor (Guyatone ST-2) in one pocket of the gig bag for my Jay Turser Hawk 12. It'll never be a Rickenbacker (and I'll never be McGuinn  ), but it does help get some "jangle."

Congrats and enjoy!

I've had my heart set on a solid body electric 12, but maybe I'll check this out. I might end up with the best of both worlds. I like the "hockey stick" headstock, too.
