Hello folks,I have been out of the loop lately because we have been Labrador awaiting the arrival of our first grandchild/grandson.I am on pins and needles waiting to become a Lolo ( which is Filipino for Grandfather- the wife of a good friend is Filipino) he has shown no signs whatsoever of wanting to make an appearance-he must be so comfortable that he wants to stay put.If he hasn't come out on his own by the 11th they are going to induce labour because by then he will be beyond his due date.My daughter looks like she's about to explode, when we walked into the airport the other day,I asked her if she had swallowed a propane tank-that earned me a smack. She hasn't gained any weight beyond the baby's weight etc. as she has watched her diet closely and that combined with being incredibly nauseated during the whole pregnancy has contributed to keeping her weight down, she has had an incredible craving for Popsicles during the whole pregnancy and eats several every day,it's a good thing that they're not loaded with trans fats etc.Anyway You folks will be among the first to know when the little guy makes his debut.

I haven't bought his first guitar yet,but I'll be getting it soon.I haven't decided what it will be yet but you can rest assured that it will be a Fender-after all I want to start him off on the right foot with the best of gear-maybe a Mini-Strat.

Hey, I bought a Mini Strat for my daughters, they are still pretty big guitars for little people. So I make use of it too as a traveling guitar. They are made like a Squire is though, so you may need to give it a tweak here and there. But they play nice once set up well. I took it one step further and built a mini cigarette amp into the guitar to make it real portable.

I was wondering if I could speed up the process by coaxing him out with a guitar or by playing some Hendrix, such as "Belly Button Window",that would be appropriate.

Well that may not induce labour but it may well prime him to becoming a rockstar. :D The most effective way to induce labour is by STRESS or LOVEMAKING. I know which route I would pursue. And I am sure your son/daughter are probably on the same train off thought :D
