So my main Guitar at the moment is a 1994 Japanese Fender Jazzmaster. I also use a Rickenbacker 360/12 for certain songs.

This Guitar is the first Guitar where I would literally sell anything or do anything to own. If Fender do decide to do it, I'll have to have one.

Cool Doubleneck Jazzmaster!

And it weighs about a half a pound more than my doubleneck.

I certainly share your sentiments but I'd be more inclined to go for a Strat/XII setup.I can certainly understand why Jimmy Page chose to use his Esquire and a Fender XII for "Stairway..." because of the inimitable Fender quack and sparkle. The Gibson 1275 wasn't a setup that he wanted but at the time,it was all that he could get in that layout. I remember seeing on T.V. back in the mid 60s,that several country artists had special Fender 6/12 double necks made-it's too bad that they didn't take on Gibson with this type of guitar as a lot more players would probably have gone for the Fender's cleanly ringing single coil tones as opposed to the grungy Gibson humbucker tones.Mosrite also made production 6/12 double necks back in that time period.

Years ago I was offered a Mosrite 6/12 even swap for my Vox Phantom XII,by one of the guys who played in Matt Minglewood's band (Matt Minglewood is one of Canada's most respected blues singer/player/songwriters) when they were playing down here once in one of their projects they had going with Sam Moon.Needless to say,I turned down his offer, even though the old Mosrite wasn't in too bad a condition.
