I ran into an old friend online recently that I hadn't talked to in years. He plays guitar too and we decided to work on a track together which resulted in the song below.

It was a fun process and nice to go back and forth with ideas instead of working alone like I usually do. It also forced me to not rush so much and spend the time to really try and get good takes. We both play guitar, he plays drums I played bass.

As always, many thanks to anyone who takes the time to listen, comments or feedback are always welcome!

Hey man....Very nice, it is so much more fun to collaborate with someone. I think you draw from each other and brings a mix of flavors to the track. Very nice.
Tell us a little about the gear. Guitars etc.
Later...........Tom

Thanks Tom. I played my American Deluxe Strat on the main rhythm part and the two distorted leads, using the TH2 plugin for tones.

I'm not sure what kind of guitar he played since we traded all our tracks online and never met up in person, but yea it was fun and the track turned out way different/better than it would have on my own.

Excellent track, very cool and spacey and musical; I could listen to music like this all day. 8) The production quality was excellent, too. You and your friend seem to have a healthy dose of musical chemistry.

Thanks a ton spacewolf! I have to say my pal Vic is way better at production than me so he gets the credit for taking this track to the next level. Also he plays en electronic drum kit which is so much better/flexible compared to a drum machine, or at least one in my hands anyway. ;)

We're gonna make this a bit of a "project" and see what we can do on a few more tracks. I'm jazzed about it cause I have only played on my own since I strated playing guitar again.

Absolutely love it. Really, really nice.
Kinda funny. I just got back in touch with a dear friend also. He is an amazing drummer and makes a living playing and teaching percussion. He actually asked me if I would be interested in doing a power trio thing. I would be playing bass. Of course I said yes but I am not in the same league as these guys. I assured him I would not be a bit upset if I didn't make the grade. But heck, you gotta try right?

When I first started I played with guys better than me all the time. You will raise your game. Strap it on and give it hell
