Besides Fender guitars and basses, does anyone play anything else? Check out my collection....

Image

Front row: An old marching band mellophone (i.e. like a french horn in the key of F), Ibanez mandolin, my grandmother's antique heirloom violin.
Middle row: Yamaha 12 string acoustic, Fender Stratocaster, a recorder in C (behind mandolin), Holton Collegiate trumpet, Bundy clarinet, Conn Director trombone, an old (1950's?) Crown Euphonium (i.e. Baritone), Samick electric bass.
Back row: My new/used Yamaha DGX-505 portable grand, full size, 88-key, electronic keyboard.

All that's missing is a sax and a set of drums! 8)

I'll be adding a 10" rack soon.

I had a nice set of Rogers drums in the '70's. I sold them about '79 and hadn't touched a drum set since.
Until Friday night, I was at an open mic night and suddenly there were no drummers left. I sat down and played for about 1/2 an hour. It was a lot of fun and I didn't suck nearly as much as I would have expected. Now I'm daydreaming about drums.

You never lose it. The last time my drummer and I were on a gig together was a cameo appearance at his daughter's wedding 12 years ago. Before that...over 30 years. It was like we had just finished a set and were into the next.

I play a mean radio.
Does that count?

Have fooled around a bit on the keys and the drums but not very good at either. Played trombone in grade school so I'm a wicked 'slide' player.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Bass, main instrument, guitar, banjo, drums. Had a short affair with a sax in the 90's but
my strings objected, soooo, I broke it off.

A little bit of mandolin and ukelele. I used to play the trumpet back in the day, but I wasn't terribly into it.

I was a drummer for 16 years through high school and college, sold my last drum set just before I got married. No band at the time to justify the payments. Only took to bass after that because that was the instrument I related to the most in the band, the rythm section. And I had a friend who owned a number of basses at the time and he gave me a great deal on my first one.

When I was a kid, like 3rd or 4th grade I played the accordion. Yes, there was not enough reasons for the neighborhood bullies to pummel me! Wish I remembered how to play it now though, really I do. It's becoming a lost art.

Nice.

I tried to learn the Accordion in HighSchool and for a short time after. Bought myself a second hand … actually it was probably more like a 5th or 6th hand full size accordion and took lessons from an old Polish guy at the local Accordion shop for a while. It was a lot of fun and I give a lot of props to the folks that can memorize the chordal button side of it. I too wish I stuck with it. I learned a couple of basic polkas and a couple of They Might Be Giants tunes, ‘Kiss Me Son of God’ being my crown achievement on that thing but lost touch with it when I went back to school to get my career going.
