Next week we are driving to Memphis to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. we are heading to Graceland tuesday. Going to stay at heartbreak hotel, get re-married in the graceland chapel and of course tour the house and museums. After that we will be doing the Gibson tour and swinging over to Third Man Records on the way home. Should be a fun trip, hope to share lots of pics when we get back.

I took my husband to Memphis in May 2012 (during the world BBQ championship), it was crazy and walked away from Gibson quite a few thousand poorer but the hubby had the biggest smile carrying that guitar case all the way to Australia. Enjoy.

If it's not on your itinerary, I recommend the Civil Rights Museum where MLK was assassinated.

Sounds awesome, I love Memphis! While you're there be sure and stop by Rendevous (a Billy Gibbons favorite) for some ribs and Gus's Fried Chicken. If we had a Gus's in Houston, I'd probably eat there every week! And the Gibson factory is fantastic! Even if you're a bit of a Fender snob like me...

Congratulations on your anniversary. When in Memphis, grab a chicken lunch at Gus's. Take in the duck walk lead by the duck master at the Peabody Hotel, I think it is at 11am and 5pm. Take the tour at Sun records. Lots to do, see , and hear on Beale Street. You will enjoy the Gibson factory tour. Park in the Gibson parking lot. Leave your car there. Walk to Beal Street which is only a couple of blocks away and parking is at a premium. Grab a beer at the Flying Saucer Bar. Enjoy!

Oh, I almost forgot! Be sure and check out the St. Blues factory and showroom while you're there. They have some really cool guitars (and cigar box guitars!) and they're located just around the corner and down the street from Sun Records.

You forgot to add " Walk to Beale Street (*In the daylight) which is only a couple of blocks away and parking is at a premium (*because you still have your wallet)." Love Memphis! Great place to visit. Practically lived on Beale Street in college. Good times. :)
