Cool for sure, GTG. There are classic car shows every weekend near the Guitar Center I like to visit and the '56 and '57 Chevys in those classic colors always look great. It's a good thing they're not for sale. GAS is a tough enough addiction to resist.

I had mine when they were just used cars.

Yeah, call a car classic instead of used and the price goes way, way up. Go figure. :)

+1

Adjectives like "classic" and "vintage" are literally worth their weight in gold.

Yep, and it's okay to restore a "classic" car but it's best to leave a vintage guitar alone. One of life's many contradictions. :)

helluva guitar too......I beat a few Gibbies as well, so the 12"r FB is PERFECT for me.

I love both colors, but in the end Sonic Blue would be my choice. I have a Sonic Blue Blacktop and love it. Looks like the one in the previous photo but with humbuckers. Regardless of your choice, Rosewood fretboards are a must with either, IMHO.

Au contrare! As much as I like rosewood fb's, I think maple works well also. Not sonic blue, but pretty close.

Hey guys :D :D :)
I'll be getting a new Fender American Standard FSR Stratocaster in the next few weeks. There is however one problem... I am torn between Surf Green and Sonic Blue. I love both colours, and I'm stuck on choosing between the two.

Would there be any benefit to owning one colour over the over? (for example rarity)

What are your views? Anyone have pictures of both colours for comparison?

Been a while since we heard from the OP. I wonder what color HarryLewis is going to buy
