Tonight - Gino Vannelli

You have posted a number of Gino's songs. Am I to assume that you are also a fan of this largely forgotten artist?

Back in the mid to late seventies, I had a number of his albums.
Storm at Sun-up, The Gist of the Gemini, Powerful People and that one with the War Suite on it.
Yes, I was a fan. I thought he was, or is, an incredible vocalist with an amazing tonal range. One of the best vocalists I've ever heard and songwriting ability of a high dimension, a unique jazz sound.
Excellent back-up too from his brother Joe and the band.
All time classic albums.
Is he still going ? I haven't heard anything of him for many years now.
Maybe in the US he his still going strong ? I really hope so. For him to disappear into obscurity would be such a waste of blinding talent but then again he may be getting old now, or not even with us any more. I don't know.
The way you ask, makes me think you were a fan also. Yeah ?
If so, glad to hear it.
Cheers. 8)

Oh yeah. I agree with what you said. Great vocalist and showman. But I also have not heard anything from him in years...Shame.
