last month i posted about a surprisingly nice no name strat which beacame my cheapest guitar ever at 30 GBP.

until today, i picked up a 20th anniversary squier affinity strat and a fender frontman 15G, for 30 GBP

the amp apparently works fine, although i forgot to ask for the kettle lead and i dont have one  . the guitar is set up quite nice, plays pretty well, neck/frets are finished nicely, no fret wear. the body has a few chips and dings, theres a wobbly pot and the jack socket innards seem to be missing, but at 30 quid for both im not complaining.

ill fix the guitar, and should be able to double my money at least on that alone, whatever i get for the amp is just extra.

apologies for posting about one of the most boring guitars ever !

Those heart, star and flower stickers you put on it should increase the value exponentially! ;)

What's the serial number on the headstock?

If it starts with IC00, those could arguably be the best single coils Squier produced. No joke, I have 3-sets of them. They blow away the CV series and sound more colorful than Texas Specials in my opinion.

Squires deliver good value. I think they give a little extra to those willing to eschew the Fender name on their guitar. Enjoy your new guitar.

A shame the guys daughter never took to it. Nice of him to have gotten her the rig initially, and worth the shot. She might take interest again some day.

She may have upgraded. This is a 15 year old guitar nearly. I think the problem with the guitar is that the retaining nut fell off the jack plug and the rest of it is hanging around under the scratchplate.

Easy fix if so!
