Under normal economic conditions, yes. But during times of fiscally rough seas, the P/E ratio is likely to be very ephemeral.

Ackilly....if you take into consideration other high end venues such as Gruhn's, The Chicago Music Exchange, Dave's, Norman's, Americana etc. supply of such instruments certainly appears to exceed the demand. It's a wonder they can keep those prices as high as they do.

You've heard of loss leader. Well those are profit leaders. They don't often sell the top dollar items. They gather attention and help bolster the prices for the lesser models that go out the door a bit more often.
