But "out there" for how much longer? There will be no Crossroads Guitar Festival in the near future and it's been reported that he told Asian concertgoers that he might not be back. He has told Rolling Stone that he will retire from touring after he turns 70 and do the occasional one-off. Experiencing EC in concert is still on my bucket list. Come back to SoFla one more time, please! I'll buy a ticket for sure this time!

Happy Birthday, EC !!!!

You're probably going to need to get on a plane. He starts a tour April 27 in New Orleans, then stops in Memphis, Alabama, Georgia before heading overseas.

Atlanta - Tickets start at $149 including fees. The venue is an amphitheater. I attended just one concert at an amphitheater that I didn't get rained on. Never again.

Memphis - Mud Island Amphitheater!? Nuff said. Tix are cheaper, but I bet there's a reason.

NOLA, Birmingham, they're all outside until Europe. Short tour, too.

In exactly 28 days, I'll be standing directly in front of him... or he in front of me...

A local friend w/ WWOZ has arranged for Mrs. LMN and I to meet Eric after his show at JazzFest in NOLA... !

If it actually happens, it'll definitely add to my life's Highlights Reel... so I hope it does.

Anyway, Many Happy Returns Derick !!

cheers!
