Last night I saw one amazing show Experience Hendrix 2014, there were a lot of Strats. This was the line up:
Buddy Guy, Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Dweezil Zappa, Eric Gales, Doyle Bramhall II, Eric Johnson, Mato Nanji, Ana Popovic. bassist Billy Cox, and drummer Chris Layton of Double Trouble.
It went for 3 hours and 45 minutes, I was 9th row house left.
That Buddy Guy he sure knows how to tear it up for 77 years young, and Kenny Wayne Shepherd, just astounding, the man, give it it all. Every player was an accomplished musician.
I am rather new, 4-5 years playing a guitar, when I watch how fast their fingers move I am blown away, as I can't move my fingers that fast even without a guitar in my hands. Anyway it was a great time, and I recommend it to all.

Buddy Guy's flamboyant stage act and acrobatics made a big impression on Jimi who was several years his junior and even though Jimi had developed a few moves of his own,he borrowed some of Buddy's moves and embellished them and he also took moves he had seen while playing the "Chittlin' Circuit" and polished them up substantially

.It's only fitting that Buddy Guy play on the tour and Eric Gales too,I'm wondering why Randy Hansen isn't included,he is at the top of the heap when it comes to Hendrix tribute artists-even Jimi's father paid Randy the best compliment he had gotten while he attended the celebration of what would've been Jimi's 50th birthday when while they were both walking along and chatting after the concert, they came to a doorway and Randy motioned for the elder Mr. Hendrix to go ahead,to which Al replied while he motioned to Randy: "After you,Jimi." That's about as big as an endorsement any musician can get. It's sad that almost all of the musicians who played with Jimi when he was in the limelight except for Billy Cox,died while relatively young.I believe that even Larry Lee has passed away too.You certainly were lucky to catch such an incredible concert, the chances of it coming by our neck of the woods would be about the same as the chances of Jimi himself playing here.

Buddy did mention this fact about jimi as his junior
Well I do wish the best that the tour gets up there but as you said chances are slim
