...But I can't see CNC machines pumping out strat bodies & necks on a mass scale.. and I see some great attention to detail. Very 'hands on' approach here..Kinda makes me think of the Fender Customshop..

So let me get this straight...
You think that the Fender Custom Shop looks like the messy and disorganized Chinese sweat shop in the video you posted???
Where did you come up with such an idea that the Fender Custom Shop looks like this disgraceful and disgusting Chinese guitar factory???
Blertles, you must be smoking a lot of that stuff that Donald Rumsfeld is rolling....

Whoa whoa whoaaaaa!!! Take a deep breath and relax for a minute... :|

Calm down mate  When I say 'Kinda Reminds me of the Fender customshop' - I mean exactly that.. Kinda. And yeah, this place looks like a woodworking shop on a busy day- messy, and that's where I draw my comparison. Don't get butthurt because I've drawn a comparison to your beloved corporate company. Despite your customshop that you would've paid for with a few thousand dollars, they still are made at mass on CnC machines, they have over 50 employees where as I didn't even see one CNC on this video. The difference between this factory and American & Mexican? Health and safety regulations and employees with a high cost of living. And that reflects in the price you pay.

I've bought cheaper guitars from Japan and China that don't have sharp frets ends, better quality wood and no file marks on the fretwork or fingerboard and better aligned necks. Not a huge expectation, but unfortunately when you are paying for less than half the amount, that's what you get and money saved can go on upgrading $@!&#* electronics. At least with MIM, you get 'ok' electronics but upon closer inspection you wish you had a better grade of neck wood and better dressed fingerboard & neck.. Plenty of threads on this forum from users with 'Buyers Remorse'

You clearly are blinded by the name on the headstock- if you look past that, you will see for the 1/2 of the price you will get a guitar that is better constructed, all be it with cheaper electronics.. Which is something any experienced player would appreciate playability first over whether or not it has less-than-mediocre pickups or not.. Or whether you'd be willing to shell out an extra $700 for the name...

Look at the video for what it is- no kids in a sweat shop, no machines, lots of work done by hand and lots of attention to detail. That's all. You will realise that these guys are just as skilled as anyone in Mexico or America.

Sounds like some pretty decent wood at 1:08.
