I got myself a brand new T-Rex Duck Tail Delay today, just came home from the shop :D It wasn't cheap, not by a long shot - I paid 185€ for it. BUUTTT it sounded WAY better than a T-Rex Replica which costs 350€ so I did spend less for a better tone :D Can't wait to try it out in a band session.

Now I need a fuel tank to power the delay along with the wah and the tuner pedal I already got. I could do before with powering just the Wah and having the tuner powered by a battery, but the delay and the wah both consume battery too fast, afaik, so I need to power the delay as well. Probably gonna have a fuel tank hand-made by 2 guys here in Slovenia, they make very good fuel tanks (from what I've heard) and sell them cheaper than the T-Rex fuel tanks.

Anyway, I reckon I'll be putting the delay in the FX loop, but figured I'd ask you guys first just to get a couple different opinions (seeing how this is my first delay pedal) - do you put your delay pre-amp or in the loop?

Congrats on the new pedal...I put all my pedals pre-amp; I don't have (and dislike the sterility of) effects loops.

Thanks, I'll certainly try out all the possibilities and see what suits me best :) Now I just gotta figure out what exactly the "Levels" control does.. Seeing how "Delay" control defines a mix of dry/wet signal (although intuitively I'd say that falls more under the "Levels" department") and even in the manual all the controls are explained except this one. Same goes for all the websites and reviews. Makes me wonder why they added the button and didn't explain the use, especially as it's apparently not the use one would normally assume  Based on what I heard, it does affect the mix of dry/wet signals, but I don't see a reason why 2 knobs would do the same thing. Need to give it a more thorough look at tomorrow when I can crank the amp up a bit :)

Thanks mate, I love it. Just adds exactly what I've been missing for solos :D I found it's best to use it in FX loop in my particular case. I also love the gain limiter it has :)

Nice, I've been thinking about the T-Rex replica since the originals are so hard to find at a decent price. I know what you mean, not cheap.

I tried the Replica as well, but liked the Duck Tail better. Not to mention it's half the price :P So if you have a chance - try out both :)
