it's just where it's made. if it's Made In Mexico then it's an MIM...they're usually around like $400

MIN Guitares are in the mid price range between 500-600 $.
The standard in Ensenada is much better now as in the past.

Check it out :D

If you can afford it then go for it. For some people 400 bucks would be like a penny, and if you're one of them then I say shell out a thousand. Higher quality will lead to better learning. That's my opinion. I'm looking at trying to generate extra money just for 2 or 3 mid range (500-600) guitars or maybe one grand slam.

If you want it........and you have the money.......go for it. After all it was YOU who earned that money.

If you're talking MIM, that would be a great starter. I have a MIM strat and I love it. I think of it as my workhorse guitar. I do most of my playing on it.

I also have a MIM Tele which is a vintage type. That one is a little harder to play, but only because the neck is a different type. Both great guitars, though.

As long as you think you're going to stick with it.....I don't think any guitar is out of your league. But if you're 15 and not a lot of money to blow, the MIM is a great comprimise I think. Think of how much you want to spend....go to a music store with a big selection, and try all the ones in your price range.

ok thank you i wanted a great guitar to learn on because as i get older i would like to collect them and sticking with it wont be a problem because as soon as i get my essentials then i can start thinking about getting more guitars as i am learning to play them
