I'm interested in what's out there in terms of fuzz pedals. Is there a fuzz pedal, under $130 with two or three knobs= volume rate, fuzz rate, and maybe tone rate that is not a Fuzz Face? Is there one that has a "Vintage style sound" i.e. with "Hair", if you know what I'm talking about? :?:  :?

Big Muff π is quite popular. There are lots of others.

With a fuzz, you absolutely need tone and gain knobs, or you won't be able to control when the fuzz is to kick in.

Not under $130 but very good.

The '69 is quite nice. It requires a reverse polarity adapter.
The '70 is not quite as smooth but it uses a standard adapter and it has a lot of snarl.

Not a fuzz face? So I assume you are looking for a germanium fuzz?

Dunlop also makes fuzz faces in germanium versions. Big Muff (multiple versions) as others have posted, Way Huge Havalina Fuzz, Boss FZ-5, Voodoo Lab Superfuzz, Way Huge Swollen Pickle, etc.

There are literally thousands of fuzz pedals. You are only limited to how much you want to spend.

I personally am not a fan of the Big Muff Pi. I've owned two, and they sound cheap and raspy and tinny compared to other fuzz pedals.

But yeah, I have one of these.

I picked it up a few months ago, and it's pretty awesome. But it's on the upper end of your price range. It has 5 knobs, but it is really easy to use.

I just picked up an ehx Satisfaction fuzz. I own a bunch of fuzz pedals, but none that give me that '60s Maestro sound. If that's what you mean by "vintage style" fuzz, you might want to check this out. It's dirt cheap and there is no waiting list anymore.

Thanks, I guess I'm looking for something with more "Hair" if you know what I mean. Something that colors less of your tone.

I've tried a ton of fuzz pedals, but the Mojo Hand FX Crosstown is what ultimately made it onto my board. It sounds fantastic even with single coil, Fender style guitar and clean Fender amps. Most fuzz pedals I've tried just make that sort of rig sound really shrill and brittle, and only work well with already overdriven amps and guitars with humbuckers. The Crosstown does both. It's more expensive than you're after (they're hand built and usually cost about $180), but I found a used one just $5 over your budget!

You should check out some YouTube demos. I've heard good things about other Mojo Hand fuzz pedals, but the Crosstown is the only one that I actually own.

It's difficult to know what you mean, cause hairy is coloring the tone.

This is pretty much as hairy as they come (named Merkin because it adds hair to a Muff. Now I must laugh. Ha. Ha.):

Is this style of fuzz you like? If not, could you hunt down a sample that sounds like what you want?

Maybe what you want is an overdrive pedal and not a fuzz.

I had mine made by a guy that frequents the Surf guitar 101 forums. It is a mosrite fuzz clone and it freakin incredible! If you search out Ennio fuzz on ebay he always has a few up and in general is a really great guy. I even got mine in a custom surf green color. Those clock in right around $110 ($130 if you ask for custom color). that might fit the bill for you.

I won't waste my time making suggestions.

This is the third or fourth thread where you have made an inarticulate request, with no sonic touch point (i.e., a reference to a specific song or artist's tone), and then dismiss each suggestion by repeating the same obtuse request.

My only regret in making this action would be that (perhaps) English is your second language; however, reading your syntax does not make me think that's true.

You need to start building/developing your own pedals, amps, pickups and guitars. Maybe a decade of experimenting will get you what you want.

Given that you have the logo and link to the company in your signature, the question is: Has Mojo Hand ever paid you or given you other incentives, like equipment or discounts?

If so, this is astroturfing, and my opinion of you dropped through the floor.
If not, you might want to change your sig so you don't look like you're representing them.

A Digitech Bad Monkey will give you a little "dirt" without distorting much if tweaked right. It has dual outputs that allow for some nice choices too.
