Apparently, they are suppose to bring back music videos, but I guess we'll see what's what. I have to admit I am of the age of the generation that grew up with that (I was 10 when it debuted,) so it was a part of my musical development, especially as a teen. I haven't been arsed with it in years, though. At least VH1 Classic still plays all of the videos and concerts that they use to play. I also remember the Canadian thing, too. Much Music, or whatever it was called. There was a local station in St. Pete, Florida (Channel 32) that started out as a music video channel. That was way back when I was still a teen. Then again, there still was other local channels before everything went corporate (UPN and all of that.)

Saw a great performance by Steve Miller on Austin City Limits.

They have a "Best of ACL" now too.

Austin City Limits has some awesome performances. And even those cheap bastards like me who don't have cable can see it on PBS! I enjoyed watching Beck perform on that show not all that long ago.

Yeah, Austin City Limits is a pretty good show. There use to be another one called Sessions At West 54th Street, back in the late 90's/early 00's, too.

I really like Live From Daryl's House with Daryl Hall. I guess that counts as 'music television'?

Also, 'MTV's Ultimate Cover Band Contest' was great, I wish it became a series.

I'm also a big fan of Live from Daryl's House, they've done some really cool performances of the old Hall and Oates songs on there.

Something to consider, though, I would have to deal with the condo assn. and we've just begun the rainy season here.

I've been considering this option recently Steve. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chromecast

Amazon Prime gives you movie/concert streaming as well.

Get a Chromecast device and you can stream all kinds of online media to your TV (such as YouTube). And they are only $35. You just need to have an HDMI port on your TV:

You connect the Chromecast device to your wireless network and then you use your preferred devices to send media to the Chromecast. It works with just about any device from smart phones to PCs, tablets and Chromebooks. IMO it's worth it for YouTube alone, but it also works great in conjunction with Hulu, NetFlix, etc.
