Introductions..?? Education Center..??

I get that it may make the forum more precise to compartmentalize everything...

That'd be great, but the lines will eventually get blurred the same as they did with only the forums we had before...

Are the Moderators gonna 'police' everything and move topics/posts to their appropriate sections?

Seems like a lot more effort for little benefit to me.

And, it's gonna take more time to peruse all the different areas.

Not complainin'... just sayin'...

Just my humble $0.02

cheers!

Yeah, I just noticed those. There's actually a few sections on this forum I've never been to. Usually stick to either the lounge or bass amps section. I did post over at the Passport section (I own a Passport 500,) but it's kind of a ghost town around there. :P

this is called "change for the sake of change," a bad feature of all mainstream internet sites. people with jobs have to find something to do. it's called "make work"

When a culinary feature is added with the byline of "What Would Leo Cook?" or a daily "Horoscope For Fender Fans" appears, I am so outta here......

I hope so. It gets tiring to see all of the off-topic posts, or threads in the wrong sections of the forums. "A place for everything, and everything in it's place" is a great way to have order, and makes things much easier to find.

I think that the moderators do a fantastic job, and it's nice to see that they are making improvements to the forum, and not just letting it stagnate.

There are several moderators/administrators, three of which we know their names.

None of you could do a better job. I would bet that none of you could even do as good a job.

Everyone's a critic, and lousy critics at that.

Yea... in the 'movie', that was for an Olympic White Stratocaster...

Except... Jimmy Page did 'Stairway' on a Telecaster...

Ahhhh well, on the other hand, maybe it ain't such a bad thing to add a couple of topics where the cynics/skeptics won't beat up on the new folks for asking innocent questions.
.....and maybe a little welcoming and patience isn't a bad thing either.

So i don't know that its a matter of making the forum more precise or "everything in its place" so much as not wanting to turn away folks who may be a bit shy.

The moderators are already "policing", but i think that for the most part, the policing is done to try to keep the spam at minimum.

just my own 2cents too!!

Cheers,
rob

Thanks Rob, the 'Introductions' sub-forum in particular is a nice addition. 8)
